“Bosnia and Herzegovina will respect all international agreements related to the refugee crisis” – as concluded at the session of the Council of Ministers of B&H.
These were the words of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of B&H, Denis Zvizdić at the press conference which was held after the session that ministers, among the other discussion topics also talked about the current refugee crisis.
“In treatment of those refugees who decide to go towards B&H we will show as expected, a high level of humanity and solidarity providing them with a place to stay until their issue gets resolved. We all know that their final destination is not B&H, but the countries of the EU”, Zvizdić said.
He stated that the Coordination Body for Migration, consisting of all representatives of the relevant institutions, has got an urgent assignment to gather comprehensive information that will provide an evaluation of domestic capacities.
“That body will give clear evaluations and modalities of how and in which way B&H can help its neighbors, especially Serbia which is facing the great refugee crises and Macedonia as well. They will contact the representatives of Serbia and Macedonia and arrange the modalities, then see in what way we can help Serbia at this moment. It is hit by a huge wave of refugees which reaches the point of eight to ten thousand people a day”, Zvizdić said.
“In case of the wave of refugees heading to our country, B&H will be absolutely ready with the available capacities. We will welcome the refugees humanely, remembering the recent times when a large number of people from B&H had the same or similar status as they now have”, Zvizdić added.
