On the anniversary of the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001 in the United States, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdic sent a letter to the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, reports Anadolu Agency (AA).
Zvizidic expressed his condolences on the anniversary of one of the most horrific terrorist attacks the world has ever seen, the attacks on the towers of the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington.
“Terrorism has become a global threat and only together can we respond to that challenge and threat,” Zvizdic said, adding:
“We in Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose citizens have been exposed to terrible suffering in the recent past, understand and share the sympathy of the families of the victims of the terrorist attack. I assure you that in the fight against terrorism and all forms of extremism, appreciating our long and sincere friendship, with full reverence and sincere compassion for all the people who died in this tragedy, we stand firmly with the United States,” Zvizdic said.
