American actor Leonardo DiCaprio has once again shown that he is closely following the fight for rivers in Bosnia and Herzegovina, praising this time the success of the citizens of Konjic in preserving the Neretvica River.
DiCaprio, on his Instagram profile, shared a photo from the meeting of the US Ambassador to BiH Eric Nelson, who met with locals who oppose the construction of a hydroelectric power plant on the Neretvica.
“Citizens who stick together are a strong voice for change. The brave residents of Konjic have successfully fought against the irregular construction of two hydropower plants on the Neretvica River. This basic activism is at the heart of democracy and self-confidence and is a great lesson for all BiH,” DiCaprio wrote in description of the photograph.
It should be reminded that last October, in connection with the ban on the construction of small hydropower plants in BiH, this actor also spoke out when he publicly supported the protests that were held throughout the country, Klix.ba writes.
