The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) claims that the suspected members of the drug cartel “Tito and Dino” planned to establish their own security communication system called “Circle” as an alternative to Sky communication.
According to the Prosecution of BiH, the drug cartel “Tito and Dino,” managed internationally by Edin Gacanin, and in BiH by Adnan Smajlovic, aimed to launder illegally obtained money, stemming from the resale of narcotics, into legal financial flows in BiH.
The Prosecution suspects that individuals such as Dzenis Kadric, Almir Serdarevic, Bosko Jerkovic, Sancez Jukic, Ibro Miladin, Drazen Cobovic, Aida Halac, Tarik Zulovic, Haris Behram, Mirsad Skopak, Davor Curl, Adna Helic, Nedzad Suljevic, Mak Semsic, Elmir Saric, Smail Sikalo, Husmir Gabeljic, Fatih Kol, and others known to them, joined the group.
The suspects planned to establish the “Circle” security communication system as an alternative to Sky communication, which was the task of programmer Bosko Jerkovic, referred to by Gacanin in Sky communication as “profa” (professor). According to the Prosecution, this is evident from the communication on June 14th, 2020.
Jerkovic explained to Gacanin and user A5F3DE (Jet Lee), presumably Gacanin’s relative whom the cartel leader introduced to Jerkovic (“he is young, full of energy, and my blood”), with the intention for Jerkovic to train him in programming and assist him in his realization. They were in the initial phase of the project, mainly drafting and preparing the workflow process.
Furthermore, Jerkovic stated that even if someone managed to unlock Sky, he would sell it to countries for ten million. Jukic agreed with Jerkovic, stating that if someone unlocked it, they would sell it for much more than what Sky offered as a reward. Gacanin added that they wouldn’t even need Sky in three months.
As stated by the Prosecution, on July 3rd, 2020, Gacanin addressed the participants, emphasizing the need for caution in using the Sky application for the next 3-4 months to protect privacy. He claimed to adeptly monitor Encro (encrypted application) with 50.000 users, identifying people because they talked extensively about private matters, and sent pictures, names, family details, cars, houses, apartments, etc. Jukic added that if they invaded Sky, without any private information linking nicknames to users, they couldn’t prove who was who.
Gacanin stated that Sky was in the past and no longer relevant; they were talking about the future. They had started working on the platform a year ago, with max and profa being the main contributors.
Furthermore, Gacanin wrote that “Lee” would be one of the people monitoring the servers 24/7 and would place the servers “there by the base” and “here with me.” The Prosecution presumes this to be BiH and Dubai.
Gacanin also mentioned to the participants that the “Chapo” system (El Chapo is one of the biggest drug lords ever) was made by some Colombians who worked with the “cops,” enabling them to track everything, even voice memos. He then expressed a preference for entrusting freedom to Jerkovic, as if they were arrested, at least he would be their brother, Klix.ba reports.
