A system of electronic health cards functions in more than 30 health care centers in Canton Sarajevo, emergency medical service, and KCUS.
Networking with other health care institutions, according to the Minister, is done daily, and in one day from 1.500 to 2.000 cards are printed.
By the end of October, all outpatient centers should be equipped. Priority is given to war veterans, chronically sick patients and retirees, and the cards are sent to their address. More than 20.000 are planned to be distributed by the end of the year.
Citizens who receive an electronic book, if the clinic to which they belong is not technically equipped, can use their old cards.
