100 Tons of Census Materials to Be Processed

popis_obradaAll the census materials from the Local Census Commissions are submitted to the central processing place as planned, stated the Agency for Statistics of B&H.

“The preparation of the Center for data entering and data processing of the materials is going on as planned. The storage space is arranged, all the census materials have been delivered on time from the field. It is recorded, archived and ready for data entry”, announced the Agency for Statistics of B&H, adding that nearly 100 tons of census materials has been received and needs to be processed.

The Agency for Statistics of B&H in cooperation with the statistical institutes of Entities are preparing the installation of the infrastructure network, workstations, servers, as well as all other necessary IT equipment for the purpose of entering and processing data. In addition, the applications that automatically controls the data entry is developed, the logical control of information is being performed, the encryption and other necessary steps for further statistical analyses.

Currently, the preparation and checking of the preliminary results of the census is on going, which in accordance with the Census Law should be published three months after the end of the census registration in the field.

For the purposes of data processing 298 people will be employed for a period of nine to fifteen months. The selection of candidates that will undergo a written test is ongoing.

The data entry and processing of data begins on 1st December 2013, when the chosen candidates will begin to work.
