105,331 Accounts of Business Entities were blocked in BiH

At the end of September, that is, at the beginning of October 2024, there were 105,331 blocked accounts of business entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is an increase of 279 accounts compared to the report from the previous month, data from the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina show.

In the new report, which contains 4,252 pages (11 pages more than last month’s report), it was also stated that at the end of September, that is, at the beginning of October this year, as many as 57,654 companies had at least one blocked account, which is an increase of 161 compared to the previous month.

In this updated report of blocked accounts listed in the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Unified Register of Accounts, legal entities from all spheres of social life are listed, from businesses, shops, hair salons, gas stations, pharmacies, surgeries, cafes and restaurants, to various agencies, cooperative, companies. This list also includes mines, local communities, municipalities, sports associations…

In the first report of the Central Bank of BiH, published at the beginning of November 2012, the number of blocked accounts of business entities in BiH was 58,038, while 35,694 companies had at least one blocked bank account, Fena writes.
