The largest festival of wine and gastro segment in BiH, the Sarajevo Wine Weekend, will be held in Sarajevo for the 13th time in the Home of the Armed Forces of BiH on October 26 and 27, 2017, in the period from 4 PM to 10 PM.

“We are setting the scale higher every year. The thirteen edition of the festival has been the most demanding so far. We are delighted to welcome 60 wineries from BiH, Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Austria and the USA as well as 20 gastro-exhibitors, and we have also prepared seven wine workshops, which will include some of the most prominent winemakers from BiH, Serbia, Montenegro, Slovenia, and Croatia, who will explain the processes of the production of wine,” said Amir Besirevic from Fina Vina Ltd., one of the organizers of the festival.

Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia, Zorica Bukinac, emphasized the extraordinary cooperation between the Embassy of Slovenia and the Sarajevo Wine Weekend as well as the great market exchange between BiH and Slovenia in this sector. Dino Bratovic, on behalf of partners of the festival, Audi BiH and Porsche Sarajevo, explained that these premium brands are going in line with the premium segment of fine wines that the festival is treating.

Najra Krvavac explained that this year, in comparison to the previous ones, the last week of October is dedicated to filigree art of wine and promotion of excellent gastro offer. The festival started with a pre-premiere dinner on Tuesday and it will be closed at the NLB-Sarajevo Wine Weekend After Party in the early hours of Saturday in the Coloseum Club.

Partners and organizers agreed that the Sarajevo Wine Week is a great opportunity for the promotion of BiH and its overall economic potential, as well as for the exchange of good market practices.
