The US Embassy to BiH and Zenica Municipality are financing the project: ‘Self-employment of women in agriculture by securing them greenhouses’. Last month, a public call was issued and 52 women from rural areas of Zenica municipalities applied. The pre-condition was that they are unemployed, have certain amount of land, and that they are registered in the Register of Agricultural holdings, stated the official web-site of Zenica Municipality.
Fifteen women will be chosen, and they’ll be given 100 square metres greenhouses and after that they will attend at several seminars in order to learn about greenhouses and how to use them.
The project is implemented by the Association for Development ‘Leda’ and Zenica Municipality.
