Republika Srpska entity (RS) Minister of Health and Social Welfare Alen Seranic informed the public that 13 new coronavirus infections have been reported in that entity, Vijesti.ba news portal reports.

A total of 41 samples were tested, of which 13 were newly infected, Seranic said.

Another person was tested again to confirm the presence of the virus, but it does not belong to new cases.

In doing so, the number of people infected in BiH has increased to 150.

The surgeon from Banja Luka is positive for the coronavirus, but the infection did not occur at the health facility, Seranic added.

Currently, there are 11 people in the Department of Infectious Diseases Clinic of the University Clinical Center Banja Luka, nine of whom are in moderate to severe health condition , while one with a more severe and one attached to a respirator.

He confirmed that as of yesterday, 46 people were quarantined in Gradiska, 45 of whom were in good health and will be sent to their local communities today, either in quarantine or in isolation. “One person was sent to a hospital in Gradiska since she came from Italy and complained about symptoms of the disease,” said Seranic. He added that the next step was the full quarantine operation in Brod and Samac.
