Public Enterprise Railways of Federation of BiH recorded Increase of Number of Passengers

In the second quarter of 2019, from April to June, a total of 131,274 passengers used train in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (10,144,158 passenger kilometers), which is 25.4 percent more than in the same period of 2018.

Also, the evident was increase in kilometers as well, recording an increase by 34.6 percent.

When it comes to transport on the territory of BiH, the number of passengers carried increased by 25.4 percent and the number of kilometers increased by 34.6 percent compared to the same period in 2018.

In the same period of time, a total of 2,384,595 tons of goods were transported, which is 15.8 percent more than in the same period of 2018, and 22.6 percent more kilometers year-on-year.

International freight transport carried more than 13.3 percent of tons of goods and number of kilometers increased by 16.5 percent compared to the same period in 2018, according to the Federal Bureau of Statistics.
