Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH) Dragan Covic held a video meeting with Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlic Radman.

The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the success of the Zagreb meeting, which brought together the member states of the European Union (EU) and the countries of Southeast Europe on May 6. The Summit, held 20 years after the first Zagreb Summit, reiterated one of the priorities of Croatia’s EU Presidency – the issue of the European perspective of the region and EU enlargement.

Minister Grlic Radman commented on this week’s UN video conference on the High Representative’s 57th report on the implementation of the peace agreement for BiH, in which Croatia called for changes to the Election Law, stressed support for BiH’s European path, as well as the importance of legitimate representation of Croats in BiH institutions.

The officials also exchanged views on measures taken and activities in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, with an emphasis on humanitarian aid sent by Croatia to Bosnia and Herzegovina last week.

The meeting was also attended by Zvonko Milas, State Secretary in the Central State Office for Croats Abroad, and Zdravka Busic, State Secretary for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia.
