Chief Prosecutor: Head of Islamic Community should not interfere in the Work of Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina Gordana Tadic said that SDA party leader and former country’s president Bakir Izetbegovic should be ashamed of what he said after the arrest of Federal Prime Minister Fadil Novalic, saying that it was “a continuation of the attack on Bosniak champions that began with the appointment of Gordana Tadic.”

“After a day like this, I don’t feel safe. These are reactions that are in public and are read and heard by those who don’t know me. We do objects of terrorism, organized crime … People will hear lies, untruths and shameful statements by Bakir Izetbegovic, “, said Tadic as a guest on FaceTV.

She commented on the statement of head of the Islamic Community in BiH Husein Kavazovic, saying that it would be good for him to ask well what the Tadic family really is like. She emphasized that her family has members of different nationalities and that she is now ashamed, Klix.ba news portal reports.

“Reis should know my family well. If he doesn’t know, let him inquire and check from tonight. I don’t think religious leaders should interfere in the work of the judiciary, nor should we interfere in the work of religious leaders,” she said. “We are the prosecution, we are suing people, the people we work with are dangerous. It is not certain. They will hear, they will say, they will see. But the risk is as it is. The state provided security, but I was initially opposed to it, because I thought it was unnecessary because I live a normal life But now it’s different We don’t need to contribute by making enemies for each other I don’t mean Bakir but to produce other enemies for something bad to happen to me and for mine family. My family comes first, and my job, which I live and do with all my heart, comes second,” Tadic said.

She said that Bosnia and Herzegovina is a state of all of us and that we must all be equal. When asked if she prefers Alija Izetbegović or Josip Broz Tito, she answered:

“I must say that I respect Alija Izetbegovic, and I also respect my friend Tito. My father-in-law was the mayor of Zivinice for eight years, his brother Bozo Tadic who is now in Sarajevo, was the first mayor of Zivinice, I have another uncle by husband, they all gave a lot to Zivinice, and it comes back to me like this through all this. We all spent the war in Sarajevo or in Zivinice. It’s a shame what was talked about today. Let them be ashamed of the Tadic family,” Tadic said.

Earlier, Kavazovic commented on the arrest of the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalic, saying that it was good for the Prime Minister to defend himself from freedom, Klix.ba news portal reports.

Kavazovic told Preporod that “no pressure should be put on the judiciary and that it is necessary to investigate all the circumstances surrounding any suspicious allegations.”

He stressed that, at the same time, political struggles must not be allowed to run over justice and that the citizens of the Federation of BiH in these crucial moments are left without leadership that has an important job to complete, in order to protect the entity and the state from the unforeseeable consequences caused by the pandemic of the coronary virus COVID-19.

“It would be good to ensure that the prime minister defends himself from freedom and that the government continues its own smooth operation. The least that the citizens of this country need is another political crisis and blockade, “said Kavazovic. It is also important, according to Kavazovic, for the trust of citizens in the judiciary that all suspicions of abuse of office during the state of emergency be investigated without any selective and politically motivated approach.
