Ninety Percent less Tourists in Bosnia and Herzegovina in June

The total number of tourist arrivals in June 2020 in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina entity was 14,543, which is 89.3 percent less than in June 2019, and compared to May 2020, it is higher by 526.6 percent, Avaz news portal reports.

The share of domestic tourists in the total number of arrivals in June was 76.7 percent, and foreign tourists 23.3 percent.

The total number of overnight stays in June 2020 in the Federation of BiH was 28,352, which is 89 percent less than in June 2019, and compared to May 2020, it is 319.8 percent more.

The share of domestic tourists in the total number of overnight stays was 75.6 percent, and foreign tourists 24.4 percent.

According to the type of accommodation facility, the largest number of overnight stays was realized within the type hotels and similar accommodation with a share of 91.9 percent, according to the Federal Bureau of Statistics.

In the structure of overnight stays of foreign tourists, most overnight stays were realized by tourists from Croatia (28.4 percent), Serbia (25.2 percent), Germany (6.7 percent), Hungary (4.8 percent) and Saudi Arabia (4.5). percent), for a total of 69.6 percent. Tourists from other countries realized 30.4 percent of overnight stays.
