Nana (Grandmother) Fata Orlovic was hospitalized at the University Clinical Center in Tuzla after suffering a stroke. This information for was confirmed for Klix.ba by her daughter Hurija Karic.

Nana Fata Orlovic has been feeling bad for the past few days, and her health condition suddenly deteriorated on Thursday. After a medical diagnosis that confirmed the stroke, she was hospitalized in the Clinic of Neurology at the University Medical Center Tuzla, where she is currently in the process of recovery, in a stable health condition.

“My mother started to feel discomfort five or six days ago, during her stay in the family house in Konjevic Polje. She was admitted to the hospital in a deep coma yesterday afternoon. No doctor has yet stated the degree of damage, but thank God she is “now in stable health, she is conscious and communicative. CT of the head showed no damage to the brain, but a hematoma was found in the lungs and doctors will repair it tomorrow. The left and right hands are recovering,” Hurija Karic told Klix.ba.

Nana Fata Orlovic has been having problems with high blood pressure for several years, and for the last two decades with diabetes, due to which she is on insulin therapy.

Given that visits are currently banned at the University Clinical Center in Tuzla due to the coronavirus epidemic, her family communicates with doctors by phone, and the prognosis for her recovery is encouraging.
