Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turkovic met with the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Albania to International Organizations in Vienna and the Chairman of the OSCE Permanent Council Ambassador Igli Hasani on Friday, stating that good regional relations should be the basis for positive and fruitful cooperation in international forums and organizations, including the OSCE.

Minister Turkovic added that Bosnia and Herzegovina supports the Albanian presidency and greater representation of the region in multinational organizations in the world.

Ambassador Hasani said that the chairmanship of the OSCE Permanent Council is not only Albanian but also regional. He stressed that he is satisfied with the cooperation with all Western Balkan countries and that Albanians are trying to create synergies in promoting regional goals.

He added that the global Covid-19 pandemic has made the organization’s job more difficult, but that activities are getting back on track, and preparations are underway for the Swedish presidency next year.

It was pointed out at the meeting that all countries of the Western Balkans have benefited from the OSCE, and that this organization assisted in repatriation during the Covid-19 pandemic.
