Chairman of Presidency of BiH met with Albanian Prime Minister

Chairman of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sefik Dzaferovic met with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama in Tirana on Monday, and during the meeting, Dzaferovic expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Albania, emphasizing that several high-level meetings with officials of the Republic of Albania were held in the past period, both bilaterally and multilaterally, KLix.ba news portal reports.

Dzaferovic said that there is a mutual interest in improving the existing good relations. He emphasized that the opening of the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Republic of Albania, but also the announced opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Bosnia and Herzegovina, will be the first step towards intensifying relations between the two countries.

The European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Albania was discussed at the meeting as well. They also talked about regional cooperation and preserving peace and stability in the region.

Chairman Dzaferovic and Prime Minister Rama emphasized the importance of regional cooperation, and they also talked about the free movement of people, goods, capital and services in ”Little Schengen”.

The topic of conversation between Chairman Dzaferovic and Prime Minister Rama was also the status of national minorities. Dzaferovic thanked the Prime Minister of Albania for supporting the Bosnian community that has lived in the Republic of Albania for centuries. Cooperation in numerous segments was discussed, and the importance of numerous concluded bilateral agreements was emphasized. It was emphasized that work should be done on finalizing the agreements and memoranda that are in the conclusion phase, in order to improve cooperation.
