Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zoran Tegeltija talked yesterday during a regular spring session, via video link, with World Bank representatives about the current economic situation in BiH in the context of finding a solution to the coronavirus pandemic crisis, and the possibilities of financial support in the implementation of projects relevant to the living standards of citizens.
He pointed out the need for accelerated work on the implementation of projects and the implementation of activities aimed at restoring jobs and improving the economic and business environment.
The participants discussed key areas and reforms that will be implemented in BiH within the new Framework for Partnership with the World Bank for the period 2022-2026, where special attention will be focused on projects aimed at reforming the health system, the reform of state-owned enterprises and the so-called green transition program that include a special air quality program.
Chairman Tegeltija thanked the representatives of the World Bank for their help so far in overcoming the consequences caused by the coronavirus, as well as for the support in the implementation of infrastructure and other projects in BiH.
He expressed hope that the good cooperation with this international financial organization so far will be continued in the future, the Press Service of the Council of Ministers of BiH stated in the press release on Monday.
