Indictment issued against Milomir Jasikovac for Srebrenica Genocide

The prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina filed an indictment for the criminal offense of genocide against Miomir Jasikovac (1968) from Zvornik, a resident of Novi Sad, who is a citizen of the Republic of Serbia.

The accused Jasikovac is accused of participating in a joint criminal enterprise in his capacity as the commander of the Military Police Company of the Zvornik Brigade of the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS), in the period from 13 to 15 July 1995, together with members of the Military Police to whom he was superior, he went to locations where a large number of men and boys of Bosniak nationality from the area of ​​Srebrenica were detained, where members of the Military Police took part in the detention, transportation and shooting and killing of the victims.

The indictment states that the accused, as well as members of the Military Police subordinate to him, took part in the detention, transportation to the shooting sites, as well as the murders of detainees in locations near the school in Orahovac, where more than 800 victims were shot, in Petkovci, where more than 700 victims were shot dead and the location of the gravel pit in Kozluk, where more than 800 victims were shot dead.

The accused Miomir Jasikovac is accused of having committed the criminal offense of Genocide under the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated the BiH Prosecutor’s Office.
