Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić said that about fifteen thousand citizens from Republika Srpska entity voted in the elections in Serbia and that 20,360 people crossed the border between our country and Serbia on Sunday. According to her, a significant number of them do not have Serbian citizenship, including a significant number of children.

The Serbian opposition gathered on the list “Serbia against violence” demanded the annulment of the election due to the participation of a large number of citizens from the Republika Srpska in the parliamentary and local elections in Belgrade, but Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić claims that the elections were conducted in accordance with Serbian laws.

Vučić, like the Serbian Prime Minister, claims that a small number of citizens from Republika Srpska voted in the elections in that country, although international observers and the opposition warn of the irregularity of the elections.

Speaking about the alleged voting of 40,000 people from Republika Srpska, Brnabić said that they are not on the voter list, so it is impossible that they voted.

“We received information that 20,360 people crossed the border between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia that day, a significant number of whom do not have Serbian citizenship, but also a significant number of children,” said Brnabić.

According to her, data is still being collected on how many people from Bosnia and Herzegovina have the right to vote in Serbia, and then how many of them went to the polls.

“It is approximately between 13,000 and 15,000 people in the whole of Serbia, for Belgrade it is not more than five or six thousand of them,” Brnabić said, adding that there is no indication of the veracity of the Serbian opposition’s claims.

In the elections, held on Sunday, December 17, according to the preliminary results, both at the republic and at the level of the city of Belgrade, the coalition gathered around the ruling Serbian Progressive Party won the most votes, Fena writes.
