227 New Positive Cases and Three Deaths recorded in Bosnia and Herzegovina in One Day

In the past 24 hours, 994 samples were tested in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, of which 227 were positive for SARS-CoV-2.

New cases have been registered in Una-Sana, Central Bosnia, Zenica-Doboj, Herzegovina-Neretva, West Herzegovina, Bosnia-Podrinje, Tuzla and Sarajevo Canton, Avaz news portal reports.

According to new data, 136 new people have been infected in Republika Srpska, and three patients have died of the coronavirus. Federal Minister of Veterans Affairs Salko Bukvarevic passed away as well.

He was hospitalized at the Podhrastovi Clinic for Lung Diseases of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo.

In the Federation of BiH, 84,699 samples have been tested so far, and SARS-CoV-2 has been confirmed in 6,332 people, of which 3,126 women (49.37 percent) and 3,206 men (50.63 percent)

As of today, 3,165 patients have recovered in the Federation of BiH, while 3,022 SARS-CoV-2 positive cases are currently active. Out of 145 confirmed deaths in the Federation of BiH, 94 are men and 51 are women. In terms of age structure, 103 deceased patients were over 65 years old.
