At an extraordinary session, the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the FBiH approved the indebtedness under the Agreement on Loan between BiH and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the Project of Water Supply in Sarajevo.
The loan amounts to 25 million EUR, and it is intended for the reconstruction of the priority components of the water supply system with the aim to reduce water losses and to improve the overall efficiency of the water supply system.
Along with the claim that the reconstruction of the water network was and still is the top priority of the cantonal government, Prime Minister of Canton Sarajevo, Elmedin Konakovic, earlier said that this loan by the EBRD would be realized in three tranches.
Deputies of the House of Representatives approved the proposed decision on the indebtedness at the EBRD for the construction of the regional water system “Plava voda”. The final debtors on this debt are the Central Bosnia Canton (3,850,000 EUR) and the Zenica-Doboj Canton (7,150,000 EUR).
The decision on the indebtedness at EBRD for the realization of the Water Supply Project Gradacac was approved as well. The amount of this indebtedness is 6 million EUR.
