The Questionnaire of the European Commission that our country received on December 9, last year.
All institutions in BiH, including NGOs, responded to 3242 questions in the past five months. Now it is time for synchronization of answers and translation. However, in the Directorate for European Integration are not worried by the fact that the work should be done by June.
“This country is very complicated and we need to stop comparing us with countries that are not even nearly similar to us. Therefore, we are satisfied with the deadlines. We have to set them because otherwise, we would not have contributions that we expected,” said Edin Dilberovic, director of the Directorate for European Integrations in BiH.
When the process of answering is complete, the process of translation will begin. The Directorate said that there are about 25,000 pages of text.
This job could be done by about 60 to 70 translators, without a single day off, provided that they would use the translation tools and terminology of the European Union. All this could cost about half a million BAM.
“It is physically almost impossible to translate 25,000 pages of answers in 30 days, and that it is high-quality and not to produce tensions at the same time because someone wanted something to say, but it was not translated like that,” said Adis Arapovic, project manager in the Center for Civic Initiatives.
