The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina supported the initiative by the Ministry of Finance and Treasury for the leading of negotiations on the conclusion of a Contact on Loan worth 30 million EUR for implementation of the Project of reconstruction of the water supply network in the Sarajevo Canton between BiH and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The project will include reconstruction of dated distribution and traffic pipes where the losses of water have been registered, which will result in increased security of water supply and the reduction in the losses of water from the network.
Implementation of the project in Sarajevo would create conditions for gradual improvement of efficiency of services and operations provided to the citizens of Sarajevo by the Cantonal Public Utility Enterprise “Water Supply and Sewerage Network Sarajevo”.
Repayment period is 15 years, including three years of grace period and a favorable EURIBOR interest rate allocated on FBiH – Sarajevo Canton, and the end user of the funds is the enterprise “Water Supply and Sewerage Network Sarajevo”.
