green_artAs part of the celebration of the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR), today in Sarajevo a carpet with Bosnian decorations, which was made from collections of corks by representative of the Association ‘Green Art’, will be presented today. The project ‘Čepo Ćilim’ is one of the nine projects of the NGO sector of Sarajevo Canton, which was selected by the Ministry of Physical Planning and Environment of Canton Sarajevo, and with its implementation would participation in marking EWWR.

This will be the first presentation of carpets made from bottle caps that the members of the Association and other individuals gathered over the last few months.

The basic idea of the project was to make a mosaic of bottle caps collected (from juices, milk, yogurt, water, chemical products for hygiene, etc.), and a detailed Bosnian carpet was made. The aim of the project is so that environmental problems are no longer ignored, but rather an attempt is being made to solve them. They wish to draw attention to the harmful effects of non-biodegradable waste material and its accumulation.

The carpet will be presented today at UNITIC Center at 13:00.
