In the “Juan Antonio Samaranch” Olympic Hall, a ceremony was held for graduates and undergraduates and graduates of the University of Sarajevo.

All completed students of the first, second and integrated first and second cycle of study, were awarded the respective diplomas, and special recognitions, such as Gold Badge, Silver Badge and the Charter of the University of Sarajevo were also awarded.

Students who got the Golden Badge had grade point average between 9.5 and 10. The students who were awarded the Silver Badge had grade point average between 9 and 9.5, while students with an average of 9 and 8 received a special award – the Charter of the University of Sarajevo.

Diplomas were awarded to 5.578 undergraduates and graduates, while special recognitions were given to 185 people.

The best students of the first and second cycle of studies in 2017, with a grade point average of 10.00 are: Nudzeim Selimovic from the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Mirza Pasic from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Sead Delalic from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Harun Hindija from the Faculty of Natural Sciences.

Rector of the University of Sarajevo Rifat Skrijelj said that this year’s ceremony was held on the day of establishment of this university, which this year celebrates 68 years of existence and work.

“These are the students who achieved excellent results with the hard work, at the Faculties of the University of Sarajevo and have shown that studying at this university and achieving remarkable results can open “wide doors” , whether they are thinking about further education or a profession. I expect for the best students to get the job as soon as possible, and not only the best, but a number of students who have successfully completed the Faculties we have promoted, and have not achieved such excellent results, “ said Skrijelj.
