5% Pension Increase Begins on Friday

NIKŠIÆ: ISPLATA PENZIJA UVEÆANIH ZA PET POSTO POÈINJE U PETAKThe pension increase of 5 % starts on Friday, 7 February, which marks the second increase of pensions during the mandate of this government of FB&H.

“359.969 pensioners from the FB&H will receive pensions. About 7 million BAM monthly, or 85 million BAM yearly are needed for the payment of increased pensions. The FB&H government has 66 million BAM ensured”, said the Prime Minister of FB&H Government Nermin Nikšić at today’s press conference, held in Sarajevo together with the representatives of the Union of Associations of Pensioners of FB&H.

He stated that for the remaining 19 million BAM, he has a clear plan on how to ensure the money, some money by activities inside the FB&H government and some money from the pension and disability insurance fund.

After this increase, the average pension in FB&H will be 360 BAM. He added that the guaranteed pension for those who have achieved 40 years of work will amount to 434.90 BAM and the minimum pension will amount to 326.17 BAM, said the FB&H Prime Minister.
