The B&H Minister for Human Rights and Refugees Damir Ljubić said that so far around 53 percent of the total funds or around 54 million Euros has been ensured for the regional housing program.
Minister Ljubić said that all administrative and legal prerequisites for implementing this program worth 580 million Euros have been acquired, of which around 100 million Euros is planned for B&H.
The selection of beneficiary and the first tenders is underway and is expected soon, so that B&H would be the first country in the region that began with concrete implementation of this program on the field.
He recalled that around 5.400 permanent housing solutions are envisioned for refugee and displaced families with the regional housing program.
In addition to this program, the B&H Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees is working on other initiatives whose goal is to ensure additional donor and credit funds for a permanent housing solution for around 11.000 families or around 35.000 refugees and displaced people.
