The pre-holiday rush started at the border Crossings

The pre-holiday rush started at the border crossings. The worst situation is currently at the Gradiška crossing. The Automobile Association of Republika Srpska appeals to drivers to avoid that crossing due to the kilometer-long queues both at the entrance and exit from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Large crowds and longer delays have been recorded at all border crossings with Croatia, except currently in Kozarska Dubica and Novi Grad”, it was announced by the AMS, from where they say that delays at the border crossings with Serbia and Montenegro are currently no longer than 30 minutes.

At the border crossing Karakaj near Zvornik, traffic is prohibited for vehicles over five tons of the maximum permissible weight, which are diverted to the new bridge “Bratoljub” in Bratunac and to the border crossing Rača, while buses can use the border crossing Šepak.

The frequency of vehicles has been increased on all priority routes and border crossings, so drivers need to be patient due to occasional delays and driving in a queue, according to the AMS.

BIHAMK’s cameras record crowds at the entrance to Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Velika Kladuša and Bosanski Brod border crossings.
