The European Investment Bank (EIB) loan of 55 million euros is used to fund the project “Emergency and Flood Protection in Republika Srpska (RS)“.

The total value of agreed works up to now is 39.1 million euros, and RS Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, Stevo Mirjanic, spoke yesterday with EIB representatives about the project implementation progress.

Besides the agreed works, an evaluation of the bids for the project “Rehabilitation of the Canal Network in Bijeljina“ is in progress, and also a tender for the project “Renovation of the Sava river dam in Gradiska“  has been launched. The value of these two projects is about 10 million euros, as the relevant entity ministry said.

The projects “Renovation of the Sava river dam in Srbac“ and “River Milosevica and Gomjenica regulation“ are also ready, so with them, the value of the agreed works would be about 54 million euros. It is estimated that the implementation of all projects is going very well.

Particularly it was about the project “Rehabilitation of the pumping stations“ where the chosen contractor was introduced to work in March last year, and the deadline for the end of works is two years. Both parties have estimated that there are certain delays in the realization of this project by the contractor, which is why they agreed the directions in which the activities will be carried out on its realization from now on.
