12499001_1128797803837841_510457332_nDirector of the office of the Bank for Development KfW in Sarajevo Matthias Schmidt-Rosen visited FIPA and talked to the director Gordan Milinić about projects that the KfW will financially support in BiH, highlighting that funds amounting to 60 million EUR have been provided for the wind power plant “Hrgud”. Therefore, the KfW continues supporting the projects of electrical energy in BiH, after the wind parks Mesihovina and Podveležje for which contracts were signed amounting to 72 and 65 million EUR, respectively.

Moreover, the KfW also financially supports the projects of drainage, waste water treatment and water supply in Bihać, Zenica, Tuzla and Banja Luka, based on the Agreement on cooperation between the Government of Germany and the Council of Ministers of BiH.

Director Milinić pointed out that attracting foreign investments is a complicated task, that it requires joint engagement of relevant institutions of BiH, the meetings of FIPA with potential investors, presentation of investment projects in order to cooperate with foreign embassies in BiH, as well as with the embassies of BiH abroad for the purpose of establishing new contacts and finding potential investors.

Director Schmidt-Rosen expressed full support to the work of FIPA and highlighted that KfW will strive to animate through their channels as many German companies as possible to invest in BiH.
