665 newly infected Persons with Coronavirus confirmed in Sarajevo

After the analysis of 1,752 samples, collected in the period from November 2 to 7, 665 newly infected persons with coronavirus were confirmed from the results submitted to the Institute in the past 24 hours in the Sarajevo Canton, Klix.ba news portal reports.
 
This is an increase compared to Saturday when 487 cases were registered.
 
Among them are the remaining tests collected by the Public Health Center Canton Sarajevo and those that were processed in private laboratories.
 
334 people belong to family clusters or contacts of patients from before, ie 50.20 percent are in self-isolation from before.
 
At the same time, 177 people recovered from infectious disease COVID-19.
 
The number of hospitalized has also increased, so there are 182 people in the isolators of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo in Podhrastovi (100) and the General Hospital (82), six of whom use mechanical respiratory support when breathing. Six people were discharged from this hospital treatment.
 
Unfortunately, there was also one death recorded, so the number of deaths caused by the coronavirus increased to 143.
 
Currently, 5,418 cases of coronavirus infection are active in Sarajevo Canton. From January 30 to November 7 this year, a total of 12,498 people infected with coronavirus were registered, of which 6,937 recovered from the infectious disease COVID-19.
 
In the period from October 24 to November 7 this year, based on the recommendations of epidemiologists, decisions of the inspection or the Ministry of Health of KS, 5,753 self-isolations were ordered.
 
The Institute of Public Health of the Sarajevo Canton appeals to the population in the Sarajevo Canton that people of all ages can be infected with the coronavirus, and calls on citizens to be responsible and follow the advice of health experts and competent institutions.
