On the occasion of April 6, the Day of Sarajevo, a solemn session of the City Council and Municipal Councils of the City of Sarajevo was held in the City Hall, and Mayor Abdulah Skaka handed over the 6th April Award of the City of Sarajevo to this year’s winners.
Besides the councillors and mayors, the diplomatic corps, representatives of all levels of government, representatives of the war veteran organizations, the international community and the previous winners of the 6th April Award, the session was also attended by numerous invitees from the friendly and brotherly cities of Vienna, Zagreb, Ankara, Skopje, Novi Pazar, Moscow, Ljubljana, Dubrovnik, etc.
The Chairman of the City Council recalled everything that this city managed to realize in the past 12 months. He noted that he is proud that the decisions in capital projects were successfully adopted.
The 6th April Award in the category of culture and art was handed over to the famous BH actor and director of Camera Theatre 55, Emir Hadzihafizbegovic.
The 6th April Award in the category “Other” was handed over to the Police Department for Special Purposes “Lasta”.
The 6th April Award in the category of healthcare and social protection went to Dr. Ismet Gavrankapetanovic.
This year’s award in the category of economy was given to Centrotrans-Eurolines, and the University Karate Club “Bosna” was awarded in the category of sports.
When it comes to the category of education, the winner of this year’s 6th April Award is Prof. Tatjana Ljuljic-Mijatovic.
