received_1205292479521706Construction of four tunnels on the Corridor 5C which are on the list of priorities of the FBiH Government, whose implementation will substantially shorten the traveling time, primarily towards the south, will cost 783 million BAM in total.

Those are projects of “Motorways of FBiH” which are already completely ready for implementation and whose documentation is ready for investing already by the end of this year or in early 2017, while the construction funds are already provided by foreign creditors.

Construction of a tunnel through the Prenj Mountain, where the Corridor 5C would pass through the Bijela Valley, on the section Konjic-Mostar, will cost 400 million BAM in total. This will be the most expensive and the most demanding tunnel on the Corridor, with total length of ten kilometers.

This section and the construction of the tunnel will be partially financed by the enterprise “Motorways of BiH”, while the other part of funds will be provided with a loan from the Export and Import Bank of China – China Exim Bank. Construction of this tunnel will shorten the route by 18 kilometers.

Construction of a tunnel on the section Vranduk-Ponirak (entrance tunnel Zenica) will cost 96 million BAM in total. This tunnel will be financed through the Fund for International Development OFID.

Construction of the second tunnel in Zenica, out of three tunnels on this section of the Corridor 5C, Ponirak-Vraca (tunnel Zenica) will cost 171 million BAM and will be financed by the European Investment Bank (EBI).

Third tunnel in the Zenica area, on the section Vraca-Pečuj (tunnel exit from Zenica), will cost 116 million BAM. All these tunnels are on the section Zenica South-Zenica North.
