The 7th Professional Counselling of the Prosecutors in B&H Began in Neum yesterday morning and will last until September 19th. It is organized by the Association of Prosecutors of Federation of B&H in cooperation with the centres for education of the judges and prosecutors of the Federation of B&H and of RS, the Judicial Commission of Brčko District B&H and supported by UNICEF and the OESS Mission in B&H.
The counselling was officially open by the director of the Centre for education of judges and prosecutors Ismet Trumić, the director of the Centre for education of judges and prosecutors of RS Drago Ševa and the president of the Association of prosecutors of Federation of B&H Hajrija Hadžiomerović Muftić.
At the 7th professional counselling in Neum, along with the Bosnian prosecutors, those from Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia and Slovenia also participated, as well as the representatives of the governmental and non-governmental sector and international organizations and the representatives of the academic community in B&H.
This year, the Association of prosecutors plans to implement the activities concerning the specialists training of the prosecutors with an objective to acquire special skills in accordance with the decrees of the article 198 of the Law on treating children and minors in the criminal procedure in FB&H which took effect at the beginning of this year and should start being applied since January 2015.
By the beginning of this new law application, all prosecutors and judges in the matters of juvenile delinquency, whether it is about matters in which juveniles are the ones that made a criminal act or they are simply victims of it, must go through this obligatory specialists training in order to get a certificate permitting them to consider and solve those matters.
