„99%(Strah i bijeda Trećeg rajha)“ at SARTR on Sunday

strah i bijeda treceg rajha plakatOn Sunday, 2 March starting at 20:00 at SARTR, the public will get the chance again to see the play „99%(Strah i bijeda Trećeg rajha)“, translated as fear and misery of the third Reich. The premiere took place on 23 February 2012, and directed by Nermin Hamzagić.

The play is a drama by Bertolt Brecht, and speaks about the lives of the German people under the rule of Adolf Hitler, of growing Nazism and humiliation of human beings. Witness statements and newspaper articles from that period serve as the basic material for the text ”Strah i bijeda Trećeg rajha”.

As the fascist-nationalist rhetoric is getting louder and garners more support among Europeans, it becomes more likely that the atmosphere in today’s European society starts to resemble the one from 1933. Whether the story about the Reich, or the idea of superiority of one over the other, it is apparently never completed. This play is an attempt to warn of the dire consequences of pursuing Nazi-Fascist politics.

The cause and solution to the problem is man. Man who follows, who does not oppose and does not rebel. The German man had a choice, and he voted for Hitler. Today we have the obligation to, based on the Holocaust experience, say NO!

This is an ensemble show there actors play several roles. The cast is: Snežana Alič,  Amila Terzimehić, Alban Ukaj, Adnan Hasković, Jasenko Pašić and Amar Selimović. The scenery was done by Tarik Musakadić, OSHYOSH (ex Kao Pao Shu) for costumes, music chosen by Mirza Šišić with the help of conductor Tijana Vignjević, dramaturgy by Asja Krsmanović and Goran Lizdek for the graphic design.

Tickets can be reserved by calling 033/664-070 (from 10:00 to 16:00) or by sending a message on the Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/sartr1992.
