A boy from Mostar, Huso Hamzic, together with his team consisted of Selma Turkic and Hamza Isic, developed a unique smart device in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), “E-washer” which performs hand disinfection.
In an interview, Hamzic said that their device is disinfecting hands without any contact with a tap, dryer or toilet paper.
The device is smaller than the regular microwave, and it is most important that there is no such thing on the market yet.
As he explained, the difference between the “E-washer” device and the standard ones we see in hotels and restaurants is huge.
“In the hotels there is a special sink, dryer, soap, toilet paper and it all takes up space. Also, it costs a lot. Only one dryer costs about 500 dollars, and besides that, you have constant costs for soap and toilet paper. With this device you have everything in one, disinfecting, drying and hand protection. The price of one device should be around 100 dollars, “ Hamzic explained.
The smart device was presented recently by Mostar team at one contest, where they have won the second place in the competition of 32 high schools. They also had an impressive performance at the “Start me up” conference in Sarajevo.
Hamzic said he hopes that the “E-washer” will find the investor who will recognize their ideas and potentials.
