Third festival ‘Sarajevo Sevdah Fest’ will be held from 25 to 30 June in Bosnian Cultural Centre, reports Fena.
During six days of festival, audience will have the opportunity to listen to best and most interesting musicians from BiH, and from abroad, who’ll offer the audience the chance to hear their versions of traditional Bosnian song – sevdalinka.
The audience will have the opportunity to hear Marija Šestić and DrAmmar Project, Shaderwan Code, Cristina Soler and Pacoseco Trio, Divanhana, Amira Medunjanin ft. Reka-Balkan River of Music and Mostar Sevdah Reunion.
The organiser of the festival Vlado Cabrera said that he’s glad that the festival is becoming a tradition, and added that those six days will offer a great deal of good music.
From 17 to 21 June, there will be a program for young sevdalinka singers who’ll have the chance to present themselves.
Cabrera noted that the aim of the festival is to promote sevdalinka, and that is why younger sevdalinka singers will have the opportunity to learn from more experienced singers during the festival.
Sarajevo Sevdah Fest is intended to preserve and promote sevdalinka as cultural and historical tradition of BiH and also to make sevdalinka a cultural treasure, and unique cultural product of BIH.
The pre-sale tickets cost 10 BAM, while on the day of the festival they’ll cost 15 BAM, said Press-service of the Festival.
