A brave group of Women in BiH conquers Mountain Peaks

There are more and more those who like hiking in flat Semberija. Doctor of Economics Ljiljana Jovic, and traffic engineer Biljana Kojic are a part of a brave women’s group of female mountain lovers.

They started hiking in an unusual way, running away from the obligations and grayness of everyday life on the plains. Only when they discovered the charms of the mountains did they realize that this love would last.

Trust, understanding, and support

”The world 1.500 meters above sea level is special. The flora and fauna and even humans are different. Walking in nature helps me to regenerate in some way, but hiking is a love that cannot be described in words,” says Ljiljana for InfoBijeljina.

Biljana fell in love with mountains by accident.

”We traveled to the sea and set off on hiking trails to Durmitor. My first ascent was 2.523 meters. The first time was accidental, and later I realized that hiking fulfills me and is an indescribable pleasure,” says this woman from Bijeljina.

Hiking does not require a lot of equipment, or special physical readiness, but good form, and the desire to move one’s own boundaries little by little is desirable.

For successful hiking trips, it is also important to mountaineer with people with whom you share common values and on whom you can rely.

Interpersonal relationships are also very important because the mountain requires trust, understanding, and support.

Every mountain leaves an indelible mark

”You literally spend that time, even for a few days, with each other. There is no internet or television,” the mountaineers point out.

Each mountain is beautiful in its own way and each leaves an indelible mark in the memory.

Biljana and Ljiljana are employed, so they can rarely plan to conquer mountains in distant destinations. However, even the ascents to the mountain tops in the immediate vicinity bring immeasurable satisfaction.

They say that they hiked in the Carpathian Mountains and Mount Olympus, but Zelengora, Volujak, Maglic, and Cvrsnica also left them breathless.

The growth of the popularity of mountaineering was also contributed by the COVID-19 pandemic. People are increasingly turning to healthy lifestyles.

The best way to do that is to join mountaineering or other groups that bring together nature lovers, Avaz writes.
