A Café staffed by People with Down Syndrome is full of Visitors

Yesterday, a glimmer of hope arrived at the Tuzla cafe, which employs people with Down’s syndrome and other types of disabilities, that the facility might not be closed after all.

Two days ago it was announced that the cafe is threatened with closure because there are days when they don’t have any guests, and they announced that because of this they are forced to put the key in the lock on July 1.

After that, the citizens became active, and through social networks you can read appeals to come for a coffee or a refreshing lemonade in these warm days right at the “Dragon’s Heart” Club.

“Thank you for the incredible immediate support. We would love it if it lasted. Just a little is enough for us to be happy and satisfied. You make us happy again,” was published on the Facebook page of the Club with photos of the guests.

Employees and leaders of the association at the opening in May of last year believed that the support will be wider in the coming period, expressing the hope that this story will be an example for other BiH cities to realize the same project.
