A collective Funeral for the Victims of the Floods Today

The collective funeral prayer for the victims of the floods in the area of ​​Donja Jablanica will be held today at 2:00 p.m., it was announced from the Islamic Community (MIZ) of Jablanica.

The Municipal Headquarters of Civil Protection of the Municipality of Jablanica made a decision declaring October 15 as the Day of Mourning in the area of ​​the Municipality of Jablanica due to the victims of floods and landslides, whose funeral will be held today in the Jasen harem.

The collective funeral for the 19 victims of the floods in the area of ​​Jablanica will be led by the reisu-l-ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein Kavazović, and the burial of the victims will be organized at the local cemeteries of Donja Jablanica, Djevor and Zlate.

“In these moments of our collective trial and sympathy with the families of the victims, it is our obligation to organize the funeral-prayer in the most dignified way. In cooperation with the municipal Crisis Staff, Majlis Islamic Community has defined individual technical details regarding the digging of graves, the funeral rite as well as the organization of tawhid in the afternoon prayer in the Čaršija mosque in Jablanica,” emphasized the chief imam of the Jablanica MIZ Ekrem-ef. Hodzic.

For the purpose of arriving at the collective funeral for flood victims, traffic on the main road M-17 Mostar – Jablanica will be allowed today from 13:00 to 17:00, with an emphasis on allowing only funeral vehicles to pass.
