The first year for the fair ‘Kupujmo Domaće” (Buy Local) was visited by more than 10.000 citizens, said the President Association “Kupujmo I Koristimo Domaće” (Buy and Use Local) Admir Kapo for “Sarajevo Times”. Kapo is also the organizer for this fair.

The fair was held from 12-16 March on the square in front of BBI in Sarajevo and gathered 56 companies from BiH, specifically exhibitors from the food industry, organic production, textiles, leather goods, buildings, children’s toys, services and tourism.

Kapo rated the organization of this year’s fair as very successful, adding that the mission of the Association is to raise awareness of citizens of the quality of local products, and that citizens know how to recognize and buy local products.

“We wish to have an impact on the consciousness of people so that they buy local products in local supermarkets, because this would be economically cost-effective for us all’’, said Kapo.

He mentioned that the Association “Kupujmo i Koristimo Domaće” organizes every year in Sarajevo three fairs relating to the BiH economy.

Apart from the fair that ended on 16 March on Saturday, a fair on Dobrinja from 16-20 April is planned, as well as a fair in September in the square in front of BBI in Sarajevo.

“There is a possibility that we will organize more fairs in different locations and in some different cities, but this depends on the interest of the companies’’, said Kapo.
