The US Embassy in Sarajevo continued calling out the authorities in Republika Srpska. Now they are being targeted because of the intention to turn the Investment and Development Bank into a commercial bank.

“The stated mission of the RS Investment and Development Bank includes helping RS families to buy homes and supporting small business owners. On July 4, RS Finance Minister Zora Vidović announced plans to turn this bank into a commercial bank to help those against whom the United States The American States introduced sanctions,” the embassy said.

After that, they asked the question “Why, by avoiding sanctions, risk the future of the inhabitants of the RS for the benefit of such a small number”. They also added the question they regularly add “Where is the money?”.

Every few days, the American embassy calls out the RS authorities for activities that led to American sanctions and alleged corrupt activities.

These name-callings are usually followed by Milorad Dodik’s response in which he insults Ambassador Michael Murphy.
