A new System for issuing Electronic Building Permits was presented in Sarajevo

Today in Sarajevo, the American Agency for International Development (USAID) presented a new system for issuing electronic construction permits, the implementation of which should soon begin in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It was pointed out that the functionality of the new digital system completely changes the complicated practice of issuing building permits.

Director of the USAID Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Courtney Chubb, signed memorandums of understanding with the mayor of Tešanj Municipality, Suad Huskić, and the mayor of Centar Sarajevo Municipality, Srđan Mandić, i.e. municipalities that pioneered electronic building permits.

Chubb stated that in addition to functionality, the new system will also improve the transparency of the entire process, which will benefit citizens, business entities and institutions that issue permits.

Huskić and Mandić expressed the hope that the system will deliver the results expected from it and thanked that their municipalities were chosen to be the first in which it will be implemented.

The system was developed within the framework of the five-year USAID project “E-government”, which aims to increase the transparent and efficient process of providing public services through the digitization of BiH.
