A shocking Case of Peer Violence in BiH

Another case of peer violence in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)was recorded in Maglaj.

According to Tatjana Hamzic, the mother of the girl L. H, who was beaten by her schoolmates, and the group of students was led by a student with whom her daughter no longer wants to hang out.

The police are investigating the case, and Tatjana Hamzic‘s post is being transmitted below:

“I will not remain silent. The students of the First Elementary School in Maglaj, where my children go, where my parents used to work until they became teachers, stayed in that school for about 40 years and, violence was committed over my little girl when she was going to her grandmother’s around 4:10 pm yesterday by four students of the same class where my nine-year-old daughter goes.

My mom, professor Ljiljana Tovarisic, everyone knows her as a good pedagogue with 40 years of experience, she tells me that if this happened to my child, I wouldn’t stop, all my students from high school say, my friends, professors from work, don’t stop, professor, definitely stop the violence.

I decided to post about it. My daughter Lara Hamzic was beaten by a group of students from her class yesterday around 4:10 p.m., led by a student with whom my daughter will no longer hang out because she does not want to.

That girl, she is turning the whole class against her. For the sake of the investigation, I will keep the names of the children to myself… All my life, I have been teaching students love and and humanity. They punched her, hit her with bottles, persuaded by her former best friend. From the first grade, they tell her you’re a fat pig, a cow, you have to lose weight, they look at the collar to see if the clothes are branded.

The teacher reacts in the sense that it is a children’s talk, that they talked, that they will solve it. I take Lara to school day after day, the teacher says Lara is great, at the parent’s meeting, you need a psychologist, you spoiled her too much.

To me, my child my world. But there are certainly flaws. I would like to thank dr. Emira Drnda for receiving her in a civilized and professional way in the emergency room and the Police Station for doing their job now. Thank you to the pedagogue and school director.

It’s been 24 hours, I haven’t eaten or drunk, are we raising such children, shouldn’t dealing with the elderly, parents, and children be introduced in the Culture school subject? I can’t stop.

What if Lara decides to kill herself? When I spoke I wasn’t understood, I told them the first time Lara said she was going to kill herself, parents didn’t care, there were exceptions, but few supported me. I remember the son of Dubravko Lovrenovickilling himself because of violence. Bosnia, do I have to seehow a nine-year-old girl and her friends hit my child…”, Tatjana wrote on Facebook on Sunday.
