Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmedin Konaković participated today in the Munich Security Conference (MSC) 2026, where he held a series of bilateral meetings with high officials.

During the conference, Minister Konaković met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia Tanja Fajon, Minister of European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria Beate Meinl-Reisinger, Minister Delegate for European Affairs of the Republic of France Benjamin Haddad and Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Italy Antonio Tajani.

Minister Konaković informed the interlocutors in detail about the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, stressing that “the country is facing new attacks and attacks by SNSD and Milorad Dodik on the constitutional order”. He pointed out that such actions represent a direct attack on the foundations of statehood and that they threaten the stability and European perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He paid special attention to the clarification of the lobbying contract, pointing out the mechanisms and activities which, as he stated, are trying to undermine the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state. In this context, he handed the interlocutors a document in which all the details and planned activities were clearly and precisely presented, stressing that it is “about organized political action whose goal is secession, destabilization of the region and blocking the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina”.

Today, Minister Konaković had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to whom he pointed out the parts of the lobbying contract in which one of the goals is the organization of meetings with high officials, which he also discussed and clearly warned the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, on the sidelines of the Munich Conference.

Minister Konaković met, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and the Vice President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, as well as with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Johanna Wadephul.

The interlocutors confirmed their support and reiterated their firm commitment to preserving the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Minister Konaković emphasized that it is crucial that international partners are aware of destructive practices that threaten the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in order to prevent further destabilization of the state through joint efforts and ensure the preservation of peace, stability and the European future,” announced the Public Relations Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
