Ministry of European Integration and International Cooperation of Republika Srpska claims that Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the Action Plan for Realization of Priorities from the European Commission’s Analytical Report, which is an integral part of the Commission’s Opinion on BiH’s application for EU membership, without consent Government of Republika Srpska.

“Although the competent RS institutions participated in defining and harmonizing all measures for the implementation of priorities within their competence, the Council of Ministers adopted the action plan without the consent of the RS Government without a consent from the RS Ministry of European Integration and International Cooperation.”

They claim that it is incorrect information that the adopted document contains 729 measures for the implementation of 115 European Commission priorities.

“Institutions in BiH have harmonized 691 measures out of this number, while the remaining 38 measures are still in the process of harmonization, which is taking place within the mechanism of coordination of the European integration process. Until such measures are agreed within the coordination mechanism, they cannot be treated as an integral part of the Action Plan,”  the statement said.

The RS government, they added, remains committed to the European integration process with full respect for constitutional competencies as well as compliance with the harmonized coordination mechanism, and urge the Council of Ministers, which, they claim, have a technical mandate, to stop the adoption of documents without the consent of the RS government.
