On the initiative of the head of Sarajevo Municipality Centar Srdjan Mandic, with a prior agreement with the Ismic family, a memorial plaque will be erected at the place of death of Admira Ismic and Bosko Brkic.

Nedreta and Amela Ismic, Admira’s mother and sister, approved the conceptual solution for the memorial plaque, the author of which is the recognized sculptor from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Adis Lukac, the Municipality of Centar announced.

The frontman of the group Zabranjeno pusenje Davor Sucicgave his consent to have the lyrics of his song dedicated to Bosko and Admira written on the memorial plaque.

”With this act, a long-standing injustice will be corrected. The love story of Sarajevo’s Romeo and Juliet traveled the whole world, and in this way, it will receive a permanent mark in the place where it tragically ended,” mentioned Mandic.

The official installation of the memorial plaque is planned for September on the left bank of the Miljacka in the immediate vicinity of the Suada Dilberovic and Olga Sucic bridge.
