Crane Collapse Mecca cdm.meNezim ef. Halilovic, the Head of the Office for Hajj and Umrah of the Riyasat of Islamic Community in B&H confirmed that no hajjis from B&H were injured or killed in yesterday’s incident in Mecca.

Halilovic added that the final plane from B&H landed in Medina around 4:30 p.m. yesterday.

“All hajjis from B&H are now in Medina. Not a single pilgrim from our country was in Mecca today. Our hajjis are safe and sound”, said Halilovic.

Halilovic expressed remorse because of the yesterday’s incident in which a number of pilgrims were killed in Mecca yesterday.

Medina is situated at a distance of around 450 kilometers from Mecca. Terrifying storm hit Mecca yesterday, with the wind blowing at a speed of up to 100 kmph. The storm also hit the nearby Taif, but the weather was calm yesterday in Medina, where the BH hajjis are located currently.

More than 80 people were killed in the collapse of the crane in Harem Sharif in Mecca yesterday, and a larger number of people were injured.
