novalic cvijanovicOn today’s meeting between the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Fadil Novalić and the Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska, Zeljka Cvijanovic, was agreed that they are the two main protagonists of the good cooperation between the FBiH and RS, and they agreed to a joint session of the government on 28th  February or 9th March.

After the meeting in Banja Luka, it is also agreed that a joint working group that will deal with the issue of the highway Sarajevo-Beograd is to be formed.

Moreover, it was also talked about the issue of tax laws, which have the aim to improve the business environment. In addition, Prime Minister Fadil Novalić said that measures will be taken to harmonize laws with the goal of economic development.

“Today’s meeting is one of the technical meetings where we regularly meet twice a year. Whether the economic situation in BiH is more or less in crises, the Government of FBiH and RS have to work together and to agree on the future moves in the following year. We led professional talks relating to improvement of the lives of citizens in the FBiH and the RS, “said Novalić.

He added that FBiH has a more difficult task than the authorities in Republika Srpska, due to the fact that every decision has to pass through the two parliaments, and then through ten cantons, which is further slowing down the process.

“This is a classic meeting, and after a half of my mandate in office, I have to say that Cvijanovic and I are main protagonists of good cooperation between the two entities,” concluded Novalić.

RS Prime Minister Zeljka Cvijanovic said that during they also talked about the commitments to the International Monetary Fund.

“We all have done everything  to fulfill our obligations to the IMF. We have approached the final stage,” said Cvijanovic.
